What is MCP

MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets your AI assistant plug into outside data sources the way a phone plugs into a charger. You ask a question; the AI calls a ‘data app’ (an MCP server) and brings back the answer — without switching tabs or pasting data.

For brokers and acquisitions teams, it means you can ask about a property or an owner right inside your AI tool and get structured information in one step. No setup hassles — just ask.

Add a custom connector in ChatGPT settings.

Open ChatGPT → Settings → Connectors
Click Create (or Add / Connect) and choose Custom (MCP)
Enter name “OnerData” and paste URL: https://mcp.onerdata.com
In chat, go to Tools → Use connectors / Add sources and select OnerData

Note: If you don’t see the Create button, your plan may not support custom connectors. Try enabling Developer Mode (Settings → Connectors → Advanced settings → Developer Mode).

Currently available through MCP: property_lookup and owner_lookup. Data comes from public sources and may be outdated or inaccurate; it is provided “as is” and accuracy isn’t guaranteed. Other OnerData products (including first-party verified data) are not available through MCP and require an active OnerData account and subscription.
